Alasdair White LCA Chairman Receiving David White Long Service Award from Tim Acland

The LCA Membership, at its 2023 Annual Technical Seminar and Murdoch Awards event, recognise David White with an Outstanding Service Award.

David White is an innovator and exemplar of high standards and quality workmanship with lead sheet. His company John Fulton (Plumbers) Ltd was one of the first companies to join the LCA at its inception in 1984.

David was elected to the LCA Council in 1988 and served as its Chairman from December 1996 until July 1999, becoming one of the LCA’ s longest serving Chairmen. He has voluntary and consistently given up his time and knowledge for the benefit of others, being actively involved in almost every significant LCA issue and development. Perhaps his most significant contribution has been the advancement of the LCA Centurion 25 Year Guarantee Scheme, which has set LCA Members apart and above ordinary contractors’ guarantees of workmanship.

The LCA Centurion 25 Year Guarantee Scheme is unique within the Construction Industry and has been operating for 24 years since it commenced in 1999. The scheme facilitates long term peace of mind for the client, as well as a unique benefit that can only be offered by LCA accredited members.

David continues today to mentor new and existing members providing sanguine advice when vetting members.

Unfortunately, David was not able to attend the Annual Technical Seminar and Murdoch Awards in person but his achievements were acknowledged by his son Alasdair White, the Current LCA Chairman and director John Fulton (Plumbers) Ltd.
